Accessing the trail

 

Tumbarumba to Rosewood:

Jump on your bike at the Visitors Centre on Bridge Street, meet up with the multi-use path on Cape Street and cycle your way to the creekscape. Ride past the playground and pump track then cross Mate Street through to Albury Close. Follow the cycle path up Albury Street to the road crossing into Langlands Street, continue around the corner into Figures Street.

If driving, turn from Albury Street into Langlands Street, continue around the corner into Figures Street.

Rosewood to Tumbarumba:

If driving, turn off Wagga Road at Rosewood Memorial Park.

Rail trail etiquette

 

Respect others

  • Keep left so others can pass

  • Cyclists give warning when appraching from behind

  • Everyone give way - ‘Say hello’

  • Keep within the rail trail reserve

  • Give way to and be quiet near stock

Leave no trace

  • Protect all flora and fauna

  • Take your rubbish home

  • No camping, fires or firewood

Safety

  • Wear a helmet and safety gear

  • Be aware of wildlife, snakes have been spotted

  • Take extra care at road crossings, cyclists should dismount before crossing roads

  • Take special care when crossing stock grids

  • Stay clear of fences as many have barbed wire and are electrified

  • Follow all signs and directions

  • Be prepared for weather changes

  • The trail could be closed on Total Fire Ban days

  • There may be mobile phone black spots

  • Take food, water, repair kit, pump, first aid, sunscreen

  • Stay wihin the rail corridors – do not cross fences
